JOIN US!  Longmont Mayor Brian Bagley will be speaking!

In a town whose mayors only served a year or maybe two, if they were lucky, from 1885 to 1901 one can only imagine the dangers facing a young mayor in those days of the wild, wild west.  Imagination conjures visions of the shootout at the OK Corral and the occasional fast draw contest in the middle of the dusty street that settled differences.  In the mayoral biography pages of the Longmont Website, looking up the history of the mayors of the past is quite an adventure.  Our guest on March 21st, Mayor Brian Bagley, may have some favorite recollections of times past, but we look forward to hearing what he has to say about the future of this city at our meeting.

Brian Bagley is a very busy mayor and attorney with a wife and four children. His biography lists many successes starting at an early age where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. Before he started his career in city government in 2011, in addition to his business ventures, he was a Senior Lecturer at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.  He was also a professor for the university’s prestigious President’s Leadership Class.  Brian is a CU alumnus, having earned a Master of Business Administration from the Leeds School of Business and a Juris Doctor from CU’s School of Law. He also speaks and writes fluent Spanish.
