MAYOR BAGLEY TO SPEAK

Brian Bagley photo

Mayor Bagley has been a Longmont City Council member since 2011 and the mayor since 2017.

In addition to his mayoral duties, he heads a successful law practice and is the father of four children. Prior to his political involvement in city government, he served as a senior lecturer at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado, Boulder. He has also been a professor for the university’s prestigious President’s Leadership Class.  Brian is a CU alumnus, having earned a Master of Business Administration from the Leeds School of Business and a Juris Doctor from CU’s School of Law.

When he ran for mayor, he proposed fostering a thriving economy; protecting neighborhoods from heavy industry, e.g. fracking; solving Longmont’s homeless and transient epidemic; safeguarding our water; stopping RTD from taking our money without providing services; responsibly building public amenities such as recreation center and parks/trails; encouraging sustainable development, and protecting our water ways and riparian corridors, to name a few.

He has remained true to his promises and we are indeed privileged to have him serve as a voice of reason on our city council.
